Councilman Steven Shane Goldman

Tribal Councilman and ytt Nonprofit Board President

Steven Shane Goldman was born in San Luis Obispo and is a continuous resident of the ytt homeland. He is a founding director of the tribe's 501 (c) 3 and serves as the Nonprofit's President. He is a charter member and serving member of the Tribal Council. He was fortunate to have learned many traditional values from his Grandfather Timothy Olivas and his aunt LeiLynn Olivas Odom. 

 Shane is an avid outdoors-man who has hunted, fished and hiked in many areas of the vast ytt homeland. He’s been married to his wife Danielle for 31 years, he’s the father of two and grandfather to four. He has a 32 year career working for Pacific Gas & Electric Company at the Diablo Canyon Power Plan. Shane has always respected his homeland in the traditional ways and he seeks to honor and protect the culture of ytt Northern Chumash.
